Provide an opportunity to learn about rangeland ecosystems, college, and future careers through interaction with Society professionals and college students.
 

Provide an opportunity to learn about the ecology and natural resources of the Annual Meeting location.
 

Provide an atmosphere that fosters camaraderie, friendship and lasting relationships with others from across North America

To achieve these goals, at the national level, various activities are conducted, which include an orientation session, ecological field trip, professional interaction dinner, business meeting, conflict resolution workshop, and the popular HSYF Paper Presentations.

• The forum paper presentation session has always proven to be a highlight to not only the participants, but to SRM’s general membership as well.
   

• Each participant gives a 6-8 minute presentation based on some aspect of range management. While the topics have been very diverse, one common element is each presentation is high quality.
   

• A panel of judges, all with diverse backgrounds, is selected to evaluate the presentations.
   

• The top individual from the state of Wyoming is then selected to advance to the National SRM meeting.
